Outfielder Sam Hilliard provided the Rockies' lone run with his solo homer in the second inning against the Padres on Sunday. He finished the day 2-for-4. In addition to the blast, he logged a single and two strikeouts. Colorado ultimately fell to San Diego by a score of 8-1.
Hilliard is now slashing .176/.247/.419 with five homers, nine RBI, seven walks, and 32 strikeouts this season. He's posted a solid .273 batting average with two homers over his last seven games.
