Michael Brantley exits with ankle discomfort

by Andersen Pickard | Mon, Aug 2nd 8:13am EDT

Astros outfielder Michael Brantley exited Sunday's game against the Giants with right ankle discomfort. He was replaced by Yordan Alvarez in the fifth inning. (Justice delos Santos on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Brantley had gone 1-for-2 with a run prior to exiting. He has been a key member of the Astros' offensive production this year, logging a .331/.384/.477 slash line with 35 RBI, 25 walks, and 38 strikeouts so far this season. It remains to be seen if the All-Star will be destined for an IL stint. Houston has the day off on Monday, which will allow Brantley to have extra time off.
