Andrew McCutchen lands on 10-day IL

by Andersen Pickard | Pirates Correspondent | Mon, Aug 2nd 4:51pm EDT

The Phillies have placed outfielder Andrew McCutchen on the 10-day injured list with left knee inflammation. The move is retroactive to August 1st, meaning he can return to play as soon as August 11th. His roster spot will go to Andrew Knapp, who was reinstated from the paternity list. Fantasy Impact:

McCutchen is slashing .234/.353/.462 with 20 homers, 58 RBI, 61 walks, and 92 strikeouts so far this season. The fact that he's dealing with left knee inflammation is somewhat concerning because he is just two years removed from a left ACL tear.
