David Dahl designated for assignment by Texas

The Rangers have designated outfielder David Dahl for assignment. The move allows Texas to add Jimmy Herget and DJ Peters to its 40-man roster. (John Blake on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Dahl can now be traded or placed on outright waivers within the next seven days. The 27-year-old was slashing .210/.247/.322 with 18 RBI, 10 walks, and 59 strikeouts through 63 games this year. He had been struggling immensely as of late, going just 2-for-20 over his last seven contests.
