Anthony DeSclafani takes a no-decision on Monday

by Jon Mathisen | Twins Correspondent | Tue, Aug 3rd 1:47am EDT

RHP Anthony DeSclafani took a no-decision on Monday when he allowed five runs--four earned--on seven hits with one walk and five strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings in the Giants' 11-8 win over the D-Backs.

Fantasy Impact:

DeSclafani allowed just one run via a passed ball over his first four innings pitched. The Giants spotted him seven runs and he was in line for the win but he scuffled in the bottom of the fifth inning, coughing up two two-run home runs to Josh Reddick and Asdrubal Cabrera. He didn't qualify for the win and ended up with a no-decision. The 31-year-old has allowed 14 earned runs over his last 18 innings pitched (five starts). He may be hitting a bit of a wall and it won't get any easier as he's slated to face the Brewers on the road in his next start. He'll carry a 3.28 ERA and 1.07 WHIP into that one.
