Max Fried pitched six innings against the Cards Tuesday, allowing four hits and a walk while striking out seven batters. The Braves offense provided more than enough and with the 6-1 win, Fried's record improves to 8-7 on the year. He threw 98 pitches, 68 were strikes. He carries a 4.05 ERA.

In his last four starts, three have been solid. It seems that Fried might be finding his groove and is looking to finish the season on the right track. He's been above average in the metrics and sports a 2.84 ERA (coming into today) during that span.
