Jordan Zimmermann had thrown only 81 pitches over seven innings (six hits, one a solo homer, four strikeouts, no walks) when he was pulled for a pinch hitter.

With his second consecutive seven-inning performance, Zimmermann (2-2) lowered his ERA to 4.15 as he recovers nicely from an April blowout.
