The San Diego Padres activated right-hander Daniel Hudson from the COVID-19 list Wednesday. (Jeff Saunders on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Hudson was dealt to the Padres at the MLB trade deadline. He will be used in high-leverage situations and will work as one of San Diego’s top setup men rest of the season. The 34-year-old owns a 2.20 ERA, 0.90 WHIP, and a 48:7 K: BB across 32 2/3 innings in 2021. Hudson mainly has fantasy value in leagues which reward solds (saves and holds). Drew Pomeranz was placed on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move.
