Jose Alvarado (shoulder) lands on IL

Jose Alvarado was placed on the 10-day IL with a left shoulder impingement. Alvarado hasn't pitched since August 7th and it's not clear when he will be back. (Jim Salisbury on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Alvarado's trip to the IL should give more save opportunities away to Ian Kennedy who appears to be taking over the role as closer. Alvarado's got a 4.35 ERA, 1.74 WHIP, and four saves on the season.
