Fantasy Impact:

Bassitt had no damage to his eye and was released from the hospital Tuesday. Once the swelling goes down in 3-to-5 days, he will undergo facial surgery. The 32-year-old is expected to be placed on the 10-day injured list and remain in Chicago for the next week or two. Bassitt has been terrific for the A’s this season, posting a 3.22 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and 154 strikeouts over 151 innings. A more precise timetable for the A’s right-hander will be known once his surgery is complete.
