Daniel Bard preserves tie before earning win

Rockies closer Daniel Bard was called upon to pitch the ninth inning of a 2-2 game against the Diamondbacks on Saturday evening. He preserved the tie, allowing zero runs and one hit while striking out one batter. The right-hander was credited with the win following Elias Diaz's walk-off homer in the bottom of the frame. Colorado ultimately defeated Arizona by a score of 5-2.

Fantasy Impact:

Bard is now 7-5 with a 4.35 ERA, 1.53 WHIP, and .273 OBA through 49.2 innings of work out of the bullpen this season. He is now 4-2 with an impressive 2.88 ERA during games played at Coors Field.
