Rangers reliever Dennis Santana allowed five runs (two earned) over one inning of work against the Red Sox on Monday. Santana allowed a game-tying double in the 10th inning before surrendering a walk-off grand slam in the 11th. He gave up two hits and a walk along the way. The 25-year-old was hit with the blown save and loss as Texas ultimately fell to Boston by a score of 8-4.
Santana is now 2-3 with a 5.49 ERA, 1.60 WHIP, and .262 OBA through 39.1 innings of work out of the bullpen this season. He is 2-1 with a 5.40 ERA, five walks, and eight strikeouts in the month of August.
