Sammy Long picks up the win in spot start

LHP Sammy Long earned the win on Tuesday when he surrendered just three hits with a walk and four strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings as the Giants blanked the Mets 8-0.
Fantasy Impact:
Anthony DeSclafani was placed on the injured list a few days ago so Long took his spot in the rotation on Tuesday. He pitched extremely well against the slumping Mets, shitting them down over his five-plus innings. It's unknown if he'll get another start but he deserves another look after this performance. He now owns a 4.81 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and 35:11 K/BB ratio over 33 2/3 innings (nine games, five starts).
