Carlos Carrasco gets quality start in no-decision

by Lucas Babits-Feinerman | Mets Correspondent | Fri, Aug 27th 11:56am EDT

Carlos Carrasco allowed two runs on three hits, zero walks, and five strikeouts in seven innings pitched. He left the game tied, and the Mets blew the game in the eighth inning, losing 3-2. They're 61-66 this season.

Fantasy Impact:

Carrasco gave up a line-drive home run to Kris Bryant in the first inning but settled in and pitched a great game after that. He allowed six hard-hit balls, got 12 whiffs, and topped out at 96.2 MPH. Carrasco has a 6.94 ERA, but his 3.54 xFIP and 5.75 K/BB ratio imply better times ahead. He'll face the Marlins in his next start.
