Drew Smyly pitched 4 2/3 innings against the Dodgers Monday, allowing nine hits and five runs (all earned) while striking out five batters. The five runs were all the Dodgers needed, and Smyly's record slipped to 9-4 on the year. He threw 89 pitches, 63 for strikes, and carries a 4.75 ERA.
Fantasy Impact:
This game was a disaster for Smyly, giving up four gopher balls in his short time on the mound. The Braves seem intent on keeping him in the rotation, but more times often than not, it just turns into a bullpen game for them.
