German Marquez yields three homers on Monday

Rockies starting pitcher German Marquez allowed four runs on seven hits over six innings of work against the Rangers on Monday. He allowed two walks and three homers while striking out just a pair of batters. The 26-year-old was hit with the loss as Colorado ultimately fell to Texas by a score of 4-3.

Fantasy Impact:

Marquez is now 11-10 with a 4.10 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, and .231 OBA through 27 starts this season. He has also walked 54 batters while striking out 156. The right-hander owned a 3.36 ERA during the first half of the season but has posted a 5.98 ERA since the conclusion of the All-Star break.
