Zac Gallen walks four and surrenders three runs in loss

by Jon Mathisen | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Wed, Sep 1st 12:54am EDT

RHP Zac Gallen took a loss on Tuesday when he surrendered three runs on five hits with four walks and four strikeouts over six innings as the D-Backs lost to the Rangers.

Fantasy Impact:

Gallen actually made it all the way until the fifth inning without surrendering a run. He gave up a two-run homer to Manny Machado in the fifth and then an RBI single Jurickson Profar in the sixth. The D-Backs couldn't get anything going on offense so he was saddled with another loss. Gallen now owns a rough 2-8 record, 4.34 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, and 106:41 K/BB ratio over 91 1/3 innings (18 starts). It's been a lost season for Gallen and the D-Backs in general. He'll take on the Rangers at home in his next turn.
