by Andersen Pickard | Rockies Correspondent | Wed, Sep 1st 6:34pm EDT

Rockies starting pitcher Kyle Freeland was removed from Wednesday's game after just one inning due to left hip impingement. He had allowed one run on two walks and also struck out a batter prior to exiting. (Danielle Allentuck on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Freeland "noticed while warming up that he couldn't push off the rubber and drive down the mound," according to Allentuck. When the situation did not get better, manager Bud Black removed him as a precaution. The southpaw is 5-6 with a 4.22 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, and .278 OBA through 18 starts this year.
