Jake McGee blows a save on Friday

by Jon Mathisen | Sat, Sep 4th 10:26am EDT

LHP Jake McGee blew the save on Friday when he allowed one run on three hits over one inning pitched as the Giants defeated the Dodgers 3-2 in extra-innings.

Fantasy Impact:

McGee had his work cut out for him on Friday when he was sent in to protect a narrow one-run lead. He had to face the top of the Dodgers' lineup and couldn't get the job done, allowing hits to Mookie Betts, Corey Seager, and Chris Taylor. It was his first blown save since August 10 and fifth of the season. The veteran southpaw now owns a 2.70 ERA and 0.90 WHIP for the year. He'll bounce back in short order for the NL West leading Giants.
