Madison Bumgarner hit hard in no-decision

by Jon Mathisen | Sat, Sep 4th 11:11am EDT

LHP Madison Bumgarner took a no-decision on Friday when he allowed five runs on five hits with five walks and five strikeouts over six innings in the D-Backs' 6-5 extra-innings loss to the Mariners.

Fantasy Impact:

It was a rough day at the office for Bumgarner, who walked in a run in the first inning before and served up two two-run homers to Mitch Haniger and Jarred Kelenic in the fifth and sixth innings, respectively. He struggled with his control as well, issuing a season-high five free passes. The poor outing raised his season ERA to 4.52 with a 1.19 WHIP and 106:35 K/BB ratio over 123 1/3 innings (22 starts). He'll look to bounce back against the Rangers at home in his next start.
