Brandon Nimmo lands on IL with hamstring strain

by Andersen Pickard | Mets Correspondent | Sun, Sep 5th 8:39am EDT

The Mets have placed outfielder Brandon Nimmo on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain. He suffered the injury during Saturday's game and exited in the second inning. (Anthony DiComo on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Nimmo missed nearly two months earlier this season due to a left index finger bone bruise. Now, he's expected to miss significant time once again. It's too early to tell if the outfielder is out for the rest of the regular season, but that's certainly a possibility. The 28-year-old has slashed .302/.420/.415 with five homers, 23 RBI, 50 walks, and 68 strikeouts so far this season.
