Cardinals' ace Jack Flaherty (shoulder) is set to begin throwing sometime over the next couple of days, according to Cardinals' manager Mike Schildt. (Katie Woo on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Flaherty landed on the 10-day IL with a strained right shoulder on August 25th, but after a brief "no throwing" period, it looks like he is set to resume throwing in the next few days. Cardinals' skipper Mike Schildt notes that this is a "huge step" for Flaherty, which is a good sign for Flaherty and fantasy managers alike. Flaherty is still without a defined timetable for his return, but hopefully he's back in time for the later stages of the fantasy playoffs.
