Tyler Gilbert solid in no-decision

by Jon Mathisen | Reds Correspondent | Sun, Sep 5th 8:14pm EDT

LHP Tyler Gilbert took a no-decision on Sunday when he allowed three runs on four hits with two walks and three strikeouts over seven innings as the Diamondbacks lost to the Mariners 10-4 in extra-innings.

Fantasy Impact:

Gilbert pitched well on Sunday, giving the Diamondbacks every chance to win the ball game. He scattered just four hits over his seven innings and the M's scored their runs on a force-out, sacrifice fly, and a double play so it's not like they hit him hard. The 27-year-old southpaw now owns a 3.12 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, and 23:12 K/BB ratio over 34 2/3 innings (eight appearances, five starts). He draws a rematch with these same Mariners on the road in his next start. He has some streaming appeal in that one.
