David Peralta smacks seventh homer of the year

by Jon Mathisen | Cubs Correspondent | Sun, Sep 5th 8:19pm EDT

Outfielder David Peralta went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer and three strikeouts as the Diamondbacks lost to the Mariners 10-4 in extra-innings on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact:

Peralta only collected one hit on Sunday but it was his seventh home run of the year. He took Chris Flexen deep for a two-run blast in the bottom of the sixth inning to put Arizona up 3-2. It was Peralta's first homer since August 12. The veteran outfielder is now slashing .264/.328/.409 with seven home runs, 54 RBI, and two stolen bases over 421 at-bats. It's been an underwhelming season for "Freight Train."
