Carlos Carrasco records his first win of the year

by Lucas Babits-Feinerman | Guardians Correspondent | Wed, Sep 8th 2:20am EDT

Carlos Carrasco allowed four runs (one earned) on seven hits, one walk, and four strikeouts in five innings. The 34-year-old was forced to work much harder than he should have been by the Mets' sloppy fielding. They won 9-4 Tuesday and are four games behind the Braves in the NL East and three and a half games behind the Reds and Padres for the final Wild Card spot.

Fantasy Impact:

Carrasco got 13 whiffs, allowed 11 hard-hit balls, and topped out at 94.4 MPH. He's got a 5.88 ERA, 3.75 xFIP, and 5.33 K/BB ratio in eight starts this season. His next start will be Sunday against the Yankees.
