Phillies starting pitcher Zach Eflin has been out since mid-July with the injury, and is now going to get surgery to repair his right patellar tendon. He'll recover in 6-8 months and has been transferred to the 60-day IL. (Todd Zolecki on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Eflin started out the season pitching very effectively, totalling a 3.58 ERA in his first five starts before tailing off mid-way through the season. Nonetheless, Eflin did his job as an inning eater for Philadelphia, pitching 105.2 innings in just 18 starts.
