Max Muncy goes yard in loss to the Cards

by Jon Mathisen | Dodgers Correspondent | Wed, Sep 8th 11:26pm EDT

First baseman Max Muncy went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored as the Dodgers lost to the Cardinals 5-4 on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Muncy took Cardinals starter, Adam Wainwright, deep for a solo blast, his 31st of the year, in the top of the sixth inning. He also singled and scored earlier in the contest. The 31-year-old slugger has struggled over the last 15 contests, hitting just .170 with a .631 OPS but his season numbers are still impressive. He's slashing .257/.382/.538 with 31 home runs, 79 RBI, and two stolen bases over 420 at-bats.
