Hernandez has exceeded expectations in 2021. He has been an extremely productive lead off hitter for Boston this season. He has been more of a platoon guy against left handed pitching in his career, but has taken a step forward and been an every day player for the Sox. He owns a .254/.339/.455 line with 17 home runs and 52 RBIs.
