Drew Steckenrider earned the save on Monday against Boston, tossing a 1-2-3 inning with two strikeouts.
Fantasy Impact:
After the Red Sox cut the lead to 5-4 with back-to-back home runs off Paul Sewald in the eighth inning, Steckenrider was able to hold them off to secure the win for Seattle. He appears to currently be in the drivers seat for the closer role in the Mariners bullpen as Sewald has now allowed runs in three straight appearances.
