Jake Woodford gives up two runs in four innings on Tuesday

by Lucas Spence | White Sox Correspondent | Wed, Sep 15th 12:36am EDT

Jake Woodford started for St. Louis against the Mets on Tuesday, pitching four innings (61 pitches) while surrendering four hits, two runs, and two walks and also failing to record a strikeout.

Fantasy Impact:

After spending the majority of the season as a middle reliever, Woodford simply isn't stretched out enough to handle a starter's workload, as he has been consistently pitching between three and five innings per start. With a 4.30 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, low strikeout totals, and an inability to pitch deep into games, Woodford offers virtually no fantasy value.
