Luke Weaver lasts just four innings in loss

by Jon Mathisen | Yankees Correspondent | Wed, Sep 15th 1:53am EDT

RHP Luke Weaver took the loss on Tuesday when he allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits with one walk and four strikeouts across four innings as the Diamondbacks lost to the Dodgers 8-4.

Fantasy Impact:

Weaver was far from efficient in this one, needing 84 pitches--53 strikes--just to get through four frames. Trea Turner knocked in a run with an RBI double in the first inning before Max Muncy swatted a two-run shot in the third. The fourth and final run to come against Weaver was unearned due to a throwing error which he committed. The 28-year-old hurler now owns a mediocre 4.42 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and 49:16 K/BB ratio over 55 innings. He'll take on the Braves at home in his next start.
