Jon Lester (6-6) picks up win with quality start against Mets
by Lucas Spence | Wed, Sep 15th 11:39pm EDT
Jon Lester went six solid innings against the Mets on Wednesday, allowing six hits and three runs (two earned) while matching a season high with seven strikeouts in an 11-4 victory.
Fantasy Impact:
The 37-year-old has been on a nice little run of late, having allowed no more than two earned runs in five consecutive starts. A pair of solo home runs from Pete Alonso and Kevin Pillar accounted for the earned runs against Lester. He'll take a 4.67 ERA and 1.52 WHIP into a pair of starts next week against the Brewers and Cubs, making him an intriguing streaming option during the fantasy playoffs.
