Dylan Carlson smashes grand slam, homers twice on Friday

by Lucas Spence | Cardinals Correspondent | Sat, Sep 18th 9:52am EDT

Dylan Carlson had a huge game on Friday night in an 8-2 win over the Padres, homering twice (including a grand slam) and driving in five runs.

Fantasy Impact:

Carlson's two homers were his only hits in five at-bats. He connected for a solo shot in the fourth inning off of Vince Velasquez before crushing a grand slam in the eighth inning off of Ross Detwiler to blow the game wide open. Overall, the Cardinals rookie outfielder has slashed .259/.338/.420 on the year to go along with 72 runs scored, 15 home runs, 57 RBI, 2 stolen bases, and a rather pedestrian .758 OPS in 134 games played.
