Madison Bumgarner pitches well in no-decision

by Jon Mathisen | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Sat, Sep 18th 12:39pm EDT

LHP Madison Bumgarner took a no-decision on Friday when he allowed two runs on one hit with one walk and three strikeouts over seven innings in the D-Backs' 4-3 loss to the Astros.

Fantasy Impact:

This was one of the better starts that Bumgarner has had in a Diamondbacks' uniform. He was dealing through the first five innings and didn't allow a run until the sixth. Jose Altuve got him for a two-run homer, which eliminated the chance for him to walk away with the win. The stellar outing gives him a 4.56 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and 115:37 K/BB ratio over 136 1/3 innings (24 starts) on the year.
