Shortstop Brandon Crawford went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, two runs scored, and a strikeout as the Giants took down the Braves 6-5 on Friday.
Crawford took Ian Anderson deep for a solo blast in the bottom of the second inning to give San Francisco a 3-2 lead. It was his second home run in the last 15 games. The 34-year-old shortstop tied a career-high in home runs with 21 and is three RBI shy of matching another career-best in RBI with 84. He's also got a chance to finish the season with a .300 batting average for the first time in his career. It's been a special season for Crawford and the Giants.
