Jose Suarez went 5.2 innings, allowed six hits, three earned runs, walked two, and struck out three in Saturday's loss to Oakland.
Fantasy Impact:
Suarez has actually been good as the Angels back end of the rotation starter. He owns a 3.67 ERA, a 3.94 xERA, and a 4.06 FIP. All of these figures are very good, and the metrics are encouraging. But where Suarez loses fantasy value is his 8.05 K/9 and his 3.36 BB/9. If he can strike guys out at a higher rate, he would be a relatively dependable fantasy asset.
