Cleveland right-hander Cal Quantrill allowed one run over 6 2/3 innings in a 4-1 win over the Royals on Tuesday. Quantrill struck out six and walked two.
Quantrill was excellent in holding the Royals to one run while picking up his seventh win of the season. The right-hander is putting the finishing touches on a breakout season, which has seen him post a 7-3 record, 2.82 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and 116 strikeouts over 143 2/3 innings of work. He will face the Royals next.
