Kevin Gausman gives up three home runs in no-decision

by Jon Mathisen | Blue Jays Correspondent | Wed, Sep 22nd 11:55am EDT

RHP Kevin Gausman took a no-decision on Tuesday when he allowed four runs on nine hits with three strikeouts across four innings in the Giants' 6-5 win over the Padres.

Fantasy Impact:

Gausman had some trouble with the long ball on Tuesday, serving up three solo shots to the Friars. Manny Machado got him twice and Tommy Pham smoked one to left field as well. Considering that he gave up nine hits over his four innings pitched, Gausman was fortunate to only allow four runs. The Giants were able to come back, take the lead, and win the game so he was spared from taking the loss. The 30-year-old now owns a 2.92 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and 211:49 K/BB ratio over 179 innings (31 starts). He'll take on the Rockies on the road in his next turn.
