Max Scherzer allows five runs in no-decision

by Jon Mathisen | Rangers Correspondent | Thu, Sep 23rd 11:15pm EDT

RHP Max Scherzer took a no-decision on Thursday when he allowed five runs on six hits with one walk and six strikeouts over five innings in the Dodgers' 7-5 win over the Rockies.

Fantasy Impact:

This was Scherzer's worst start in a Dodgers' uniform, by far. It's rather unfortunate timing--considering how incredible he's been since coming over from the Nationals--and the fact it occurred during the fantasy playoffs. He still managed to punch out five batters on the day but ultimately had a hard time getting out of the few jams he worked himself into. He still carries a phenomenal 2.28 ERA, 0.83 WHIP, and 232:36 K/BB ratio over 174 innings (29 starts). He'll get the Padres at home in his next turn.
