Madison Bumgarner goes five innings in no-decision

by Jon Mathisen | Thu, Sep 23rd 11:44pm EDT

LHP Madison Bumgarner took a no-decision on Thursday when he allowed three runs on five hits with five strikeouts and two walks over five innings as the Diamondbacks beat the Braves 6-4.

Fantasy Impact:

Bumgarner pitched well enough to keep the Diamondbacks alive against a tough Braves lineup. He served up an RBI double to Ozzie Albies and a two-run homer to Austin Riley in the third inning, which accounted for all the runs against him. He now owns a 4.58 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, and 120:39 K/BB ratio over 141 2/3 innings (25 starts). He'll take on his former team, the Giants, on the road in his final start of the season.
