Shane Victorino returns to starting lineup

by Chris McCoy | Tue, May 12th 2:22pm EDT

Boston outfielder Shane Victorino was activated from the disabled list and started in right field Monday in Oakland. Victorino went 0-for-4 and was replaced by Jackie Bradley Jr. who walked once.

Fantasy Impact:

At the start of the season Shane Victorino offered some intriguing fantasy value as he appeared to be healthy and typically capable of providing some power and some speed. However, before hitting the disabled list he wasn't providing much of either to go with a .128 BA. While Victorino won't be this bad all year, he will likely struggle to stay healthy. Unless he gets real, real hot don't give him a second thought on the waiver wire.
