Rangers starter Spencer Howard allowed eight runs (five earned) through 3.2 innings of work against the Indians on Friday evening. His final line included five hits, two homers, three walks, two strikeouts, and the loss. Texas ultimately fell to Cleveland by a score of 9-6.
Howard dropped to 0-5 with a 7.43 ERA, 1.61 WHIP, and .269 OBA through 19 games (15 starts) this season. Acquired from the Phillies at the trade deadline, Howard is a former top prospect who has yet to find his groove in the majors. Texas surely hopes it can get him back on track soon.
