Astros starter Framber Valdez allowed four runs over five innings of work against the Athletics on Friday evening. His final line included four hits, two homers, one walk, seven strikeouts, and the loss. Houston ultimately fell to Oakland by a score of 8-6.

Fantasy Impact:

Valdez is now 11-6 with a 3.14 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and .220 OBA through 22 games this season. While he won't pitch again in the regular season, the southpaw will play a pivotal role for Houston in the postseason and is a candidate to pitch Game 1 of the ALDS.
