Matt Holliday suffers left elbow contusion

Fantasy Impact:
Holliday looked to be in a good deal of pain afterwards. The Cardinals have labeled him day-to-day with a left elbow contusion. The veteran left fielder was replaced in the second inning by Pete Kozma. Holliday could miss a few games depending on the level of swelling and how it affects his range of motion. A DL stint would not be out of the realm of possibility, but fantasy owners should consider this a bullet dodged and monitor his status closely going forward.
