DJ LeMahieu undergoes surgery on core injury

Yankees INF DJ LeMahieu was battling a core injury this season, and has since undergone surgery to repair the issue. It's an estimated eight-week recovery and he will be ready for Spring Training. (Max Goodman via Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The injury sheds some light on what was a disappointing season for LeMahieu where he slashed a line of .268/.349/.362 after finishing third in MVP voting in 2020. Hopefully this surgery gets DJ back to 100% health for 2022 and he can get back to being the hitter he was in years prior.
