Mets pitcher Carlos Carrasco got surgery to remove bone fragments from his elbow on Tuesday. He is expected to return in time for winter baseball activities. (Andy Martino on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Carrasco had a rough debut season with the New York Mets, pitching just 53.2 innings to a tune of a 6.04 ERA. The good news is that his strikeout numbers were still close to his usual numbers, he simply was just getting hit very hard and struggled to keep the ball in the yard. Cookie being 100% healthy for the 2022 season would be a delight to see as he shapes up to be one of the more intriguing bounce back candidates next season.
