Cesar Hernandez has option declined by White Sox

The White Sox have declined second baseman Cesar Hernandez's club option for 2022. If exercised, the option would have paid him $6 million. (Jesse Rogers on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Picked up in an inter-division deal at the 2021 trade deadline, Hernandez swatted 21 homers this past season but reached base in just 29.7 percent of at-bats. Additionally, although he did post 7.0 fWAR in the field, he logged a career-low -6.7 fWAR at the plate. Still, he represents an intriguing free agency option for many teams in need of infield help.
