The Nationals have placed left fielder Jayson Werth on the 15-day DL retroactive to May 16 with a left wrist contusion. Werth was hit by a pitch on May 15. (Dan Kolko via Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
An MRI confirmed there was no broken bone or ligament damage, so Werth will probably spend minimal time on the DL. After a delayed and slow start due to off-season shoulder surgery, Werth hit .250/.346/.386 with two homers in May.
