ESPN's Jeff Passan reports the Blue Jays have agreed to a five-year, $110 million contract with free agent RHP Kevin Gausman. (Jeff Passan on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Gausman had some interesting 2021 splits. He posted a 1.73 first half ERA with a 3.31 xFIP. In the second half, he registered a 4.42 ERA with a 3.23 xFIP. The move to the American League East isn't a great one for his fantasy prospects, but he has shown enough over the past two season to remain a quality fantasy starter. This likely takes Toronto out of the Robbie Ray sweepstakes.
