Melky Cabrera

Melky Cabrera does nothing at the plate on Tuesday

by Rob Schwarz, Jr. | Wed, May 20th 9:00am EDT

Melky Cabrera has been very successful over the last 10 games, but that came to an end Tuesday night. The White Sox struggled to get hits and Cabrera was one of them. He went 0-for-4 at the plate as the White Sox lose to the Indians.

Fantasy Impact:

Melky Cabrera is serviceable, but not elite. Too often he disappears in games. He is a wily veteran who rarely has large hitting slumps, but is only a .285 career hitter. Cabrera can be used as a plug-and-play option during hot streaks or solid pitching matchups. He can also make for a daily fantasy stacking option when the White Sox face certain pitchers.
